Sunnyvale Dance Academy Camp

Sunnyvale Dance Academy offers SPARKLE, a beginner ballet and tap combo class for 2-3.5 year old dancers that introduces dance basics and includes one dance in the recital. It also offers PRINCESS and STAR for 3.5-5 year old dancers, along with STARBURST for dancers in 3rd-8th grade who are new to dance or want a slower pace and work on tap and ballet. Other offerings include tap, jazz, ballet, hip hop, lyrical, BOYS ONLY, and MOMMY + RAIDER.

• PRINCESS — 3.5-5 year old dancers · Mon, Tue, Wed, Thu, Fri, Sat; morning and evening options; Saturday 3x/month · Focuses on ballet basics, flexibility, balance, poise, and articulation; themed around princesses; recommended to be paired with STAR.
• STAR — 3.5-5 year old dancers · Mon, Tue, Wed, Thu, Fri, Sat; morning and evening options; Saturday 3x/month · Jazz & tap combo class aimed at developing confidence while learning to perform; recommended to be paired with PRINCESS.
• STARBURST — 3rd-8th grade · For dancers new to dance or wanting a slower, more relaxed pace; works on tap and ballet.
• Tap — Dance style class.
• Jazz — Dance style class.
• Ballet — Dance style class.
• Hip Hop — Dance style class using age-appropriate music and movement.
• Lyrical — Expressive dance style combining ballet, jazz, and modern.
• BOYS ONLY — Class where boys learn basics in tap and hip hop; performs one dance in the recital.
• MOMMY + RAIDER — 16 months up to 2.5 years old · Interactive class for little ones and others; jump, play, move, and create; does not perform a dance in the recital.

Sunnyvale Dance Academy was founded by Hannah Roberts. The studio states a mission of high-quality dance training in a warm, joyful, family-centered environment, with a focus on the development and quality training of young dancers ages 2-18. 2026-2027 season runs from August 17th through Recital (TBD). Installments are due the 1st of each month (Sept 2026 - May 2027). No refund for missed classes; make-up classes are offered for full season classes. Free registration for families who register in May for the following season. Costume fees generally between $125-$150 per routine performed in recital. Recital fee is $175 per dancer. Additional sibling registration fee listed as $80 for each additional sibling after $100 per child.
