Charis Hills offers a Christian-based summer camp where campers take part in swimming, kayaking, archery, arts and crafts, hiking, fishing, team games, snorkeling, skeet shooting, and team-building exercises. The camp combines outdoor recreation such as cabin camping and activity fields with faith-based learning and peaceful participation. Charis Hills serves children, teens, and young adults with high-functioning autism, ADHD, ADD, learning differences, and difficulty connecting with peers, and includes programs for families as well.

For over 18 years, Charis Hills has operated as a Christian therapeutic summer camp and special needs camp for children, teens, young adults, and families. The mission of Charis Hills is to create a welcoming and supportive environment where everyone can experience Christ’s love and grace. The camp offers a 1:3 counselor-to-camper ratio for most programs and a 1:5 ratio for young adult camps, with programs tailored to different age groups and family needs, including specialized summer camps for teens aged 13 to 18 and a young adult camp focused on personal growth and transition into adulthood through independent living, decision-making, and social skill enhancement. Charis Hills also offers family weekends, a family camp, and a family weekend devoted to parents and family members with neurodiversity, and its campgrounds attract families from across Texas and surrounding states. The program has been featured on NBC 5 Today and also hosts venue rentals for weddings, church groups, school groups, and special events, with exclusive access available for groups of 25 or more, as well as an outdoor chapel and a treehouse for a unique overnight stay.
