YMCA Camp Cullen offers a summer overnight camp experience with activities that include horseback riding, climbing towers, arts and crafts, water sports, zip lines, an Adventure Course, sports, target sports, paddle sports, drama, tubing, lie down tubing, camping, fishing, hiking, and a horseback riding camp. Camp Cullen also offers focused tracks that build community around special interests such as equestrian, water sports, teen leadership, and teen adventure.

YMCA Camp Cullen operates on over 500 acres of woodland along the shores of Lake Livingston. The camp references an Overnight Camp Handbook and Packing List for parents. Camp Cullen also offers Family Camp, retreats available from Labor Day to Memorial Day that can be booked in single or multi-year contracts, and a Riding Club that provides horseback riding camp experiences throughout the year. The YMCA mission is to put Judeo-Christian principles into practice through programs that build healthy spirit, mind and body for all. YMCA Camp Cullen is a United Way Agency. As the camp approaches its 50th anniversary in Trinity, Texas, it has celebrated enrollment growth and expanded international outreach.

The YMCA Camp Cullen leadership team includes Bobby Thomas (Executive Director), Chance Orton (Senior Program Director), KJ Davis (Outdoor Ed & Retreats Director), Cynthia Drake (Camp Business Director), Lauren Scott (Summer Camp Director), Bailey Teague (Equestrian Director), Heather Mansel (Food Service Director), and Anya Katz (Associate Equestrian Director). The staff have a collective experience of over 45 years in the industry. Bobby holds a Psychology degree from Troy University and a Masters in Nonprofit Management from the University of Houston Downtown. Chance has several years of YMCA camping experience and a Marketing degree from Texas Tech University. KJ has a bachelor’s degree in psychology from Troy University, has worked with the YMCA of Metropolitan Atlanta and the YMCA of Greater Montgomery, and served in the U.S. Air Force. Bailey has a bachelor’s degree in Animal Science and a certification in Equine Science from Tarleton State University.
