Omega Martial Arts states that its focus is on providing superior martial art instruction for all ages and abilities, with programs designed to build character, respect, and excellence during the journey to Black Belt and beyond. The program states that it strives to motivate and inspire students to become elite martial artists, positive influences in their families and communities, and a master of self. Omega Martial Arts uses the tagline “A Way of Life” and states that its roots stem from the Kukkiwon.

Omega Martial Arts teaches a hybrid system created by Bob Davis, who was promoted to 10th Degree Black Belt by an international board for this unique system. Bob Davis earned a PhD in Martial Arts Science, became an instructor in police arrest and control, attained high rank in Tae Kwon Do, Jujitsu, Isshinryu, and Judo, and mastered several weapons. He devoted 42 years to the martial arts and led Omega Martial Arts for 33 years. The Davis family began Taekwondo in Colorado and brought the arts to Utah.

Accreditation for Omega Martial Arts is through the Omega Tao Federation. Bob Davis earned a World Championship ring and was inducted into the World Karate Hall of Fame. He worked in tournament settings for the World Tae Kwon Do Federation, USA Karate Federation, Colorado Karate Association, and the World Congress of Amateur Athletes.

Board breaking is described as a highlight at Omega’s tests and live demonstrations, and students learn to break as early as yellow belt, advancing through techniques such as flying, blindfolded, speed, and chi breaks. Brick breaking is a highlight at Omega’s Black Belt Test, and students 16 years and older are eligible to break a brick during their black belt test and may choose to increase the number of bricks they break. Sparring is described as an integral part of martial art training at Omega Martial Arts, and students are required to have their own sparring gear, including head gear, forearm and shin guards, and a mouth guard.

Bob Davis also served as a Campus Life Club Director under the Denver Area Youth for Christ Organization and as a volunteer counselor with Mission 5280 of Denver First Church of the Nazarene.
