Samskrita Bharati USA Learning Programs

Samskrita Bharati USA Learning Programs includes the Bālashikṣaṇam Program for students from Kindergarten to 7th grade. This eight-year structured curriculum fully immerses students in spoken and written Samskritam. It also includes the Young Leaders and Scholars Program for students who complete the Bālashikṣaṇam end-of-course exam, SAFL for high school students in grades 8-12, Campus Samskritam Network classes for youth and college students, and several adult options such as Samskritam Classes for Adults, the Online Certificate Program (s2s), Kathā mālā, Guided Self-Study, and General Placements.

Programs

• Bālaśikṣaṇam Program — Students from Kindergarten to 7th grade · Eight-year structured curriculum for children; fully immerses students in spoken and written Samskritam.
• Young Leaders and Scholars Program (YLSP) — 6th–9th grade mentorship phase; 10th grade internship phase · Eligibility: students who successfully complete the Bālaśikṣaṇam end-of-course exam.
• SAFL (Samskritam As a Foreign Language) — High school students (grades 8-12) · Three-year distance education program; online learning experience for high school students.
• Campus Samskritam Network — Youth & college students · Provides both in-person and online classes for college students and young adults.
• Samskritam Classes for Adults — Adults · Adults have flexible options including in-person classes through a nearby Samskrita Kendram.
• Online Certificate Program (s2s) — Adults
• Kathā mālā — Adults · Learning Samskritam by listening to stories in simple Sanskrit.

About the provider

Samskrita Bharati USA says it has been teaching thousands of people Samskritam and has launched programs since 1995. It is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization. The program is powered by over 300 volunteers, and weekly Samskrita-kendrams engage over 1,500 children, parents, and adults across major metropolitan areas in the USA. Local chapters host simultaneous classes for children and adults, and SBUSA organizes Samskrita-Melā, Gītā-Jayantī, Ślokaspardhā, and Summer Camp Pāṇini.
