Kenwood Summer Day Camp offers activities that include crafts, playing games, and taking fun, fascinating field trips. The camp takes place on a campus that includes a converted farmhouse school building, a spacious playground, and a meadow down the hill.
• Ages: 5–13 years old
• Schedule: Child care available 7:00 a.m.–6:00 p.m., with classes from 9:00 a.m.–3:30 p.m.
Kenwood Summer Day Camp is part of Kenwood School, which was established as a private elementary school in 1956. The program features a tenured staff and small classes with personalized attention in a home-like atmosphere created by the converted farmhouse building, and students use the spacious playground and meadow so they do not feel crowded. The summer camp offers activities for students from kindergarten to 8th grade, and registration is first-come, first-served. Summer Camp registration is now open, and the school is also now enrolling for the 2026–2027 school year. After School Care is available for area students, and the program picks up students from several area schools for this care. An Open House is scheduled for Saturday May 2, 2026, from 9:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. A Child's Place, Inc and Vivlow & Co. do not discriminate on the basis of sex, race, religion, or ethnic origin in admission, administration of educational policies, or enforcement of enrollment policies.
Parents have shared that “Kenwood School is an amazing treasure… in Annandale Virginia! My child started off in public school and was getting poor reports and was not really getting the attention he needed. I moved him to Kenwood and saw immediate improvement.” Another parent stated, “This school is extrememly well run… and offers, in my opinion, the best education in this area.”
