Silver Knights Chess Academy

Silver Knights Chess Academy offers Summer Chess Camps, online chess camps and workshops, in-person summer camps, and school break and spring break in-person chess camps. The camps use different themes each week, and the online camps and workshops include spring break camp, school break camps, extra workshops, and summer camps.

Programs

• Summer Chess Camps — Ages 5-15, grouped by skill · Each camp is 2.5 hours per day; multiple session options available · Each week has a different theme. Maximum 8 students per group. Camps are in a secure Chessable Classroom with no Zoom, no equipment, and no switching windows required.
• Online Chess Camps and Workshops — Spring break camp, school break camps, extra workshops, and summer camps with a different theme every week · Great for both beginners and advanced kids.
• In-Person Summer Camps — Available in Maryland and Virginia; full day camps; great for all levels.
• School Break and Spring Break In-Person Chess Camps — Available in Maryland and Virginia; great for all levels.

About the provider

Adam founded Silver Knights Chess in 2006. In the 2006-2007 school year, Adam taught chess in 16 schools and community centers. The program added online chess classes in 2020, created an Elite Academy program for students rated over 1400 in 2023, and changed its name back to Silver Knights in March 2025. It has taught more than 100,000 children, serves students in all 50 states, and has produced more than 50 state or national champions.
