WinShape Camps for Communities Day Camp offers a full day of indoor and outdoor moments, physical activity, and creative play, with a wide variety of skills for every interest. Camp days include age-specific content, Bible-based teaching centered around Jesus, and a mix of Skill 1 and Skill 2 times built into the daily schedule. Campers experience epic adventures at camp during the day and sleep at home at night, with a refreshed experience every year.
• Ages: 5–11 years old
• Schedule: One-week session, Monday–Thursday with daily drop-off at 8:15 am and pick-up at 5:00 pm
• Price: One-Week Session Rate $275
Each camp day from Monday through Thursday begins with 8:15 am Check In and Village Training, followed by Wake Up! at 8:50 am, Rec! at 9:35 am, Team Time at 10:35 am, and Village Rally and Snack City at 11:10 am. Late morning and afternoon include Skill 1 at 11:25 am, Village Rally at 12:20 pm, Lunch at 12:35 pm, Worship at 1:20 pm, Team Time at 2:15 pm, Village Rally and Snack City at 3:00 pm, Skill 2 at 3:15 pm, Village Rally at 4:10 pm, Power Surge at 4:25 pm, and Check Out at 5:00 pm. Families provide lunch each day, while camp provides snacks, and all meals and snack times are nut free, with any snacks containing nuts returned to the camper at the end of the week. A Chick-fil-A Family Lunch is offered on Friday as a day of fun for the whole family.
WinShape Camps states that every moment at camp is intentionally designed while campers learn truths about Jesus through Bible-based teaching, with all experiences faith-based and centered around Jesus. The mission of WinShape Camps is to glorify God by creating experiences that transform campers and families with the message of Jesus Christ. WinShape Camps offers overnight camp, family camp, and day camp experiences and operates WinShape Camps for Communities in over 75 communities around the country, as well as locally led day camp experiences in Brazil and Costa Rica through WinShape Camps International, working alongside partners and local volunteers.
WinShape Camps has been creating camps for the last 40 summers, launching its first overnight camp on the campus of Berry College in Rome, Georgia, in 1985. The program describes its schedule as one part fun, two scoops of friendship, all covered in faith, with camp days packed full of nonstop fun and incredible experiences and a full day of non-stop fun for campers completing grades K5–5th as they cultivate their God-given skills and talents.
The staff for WinShape Camps for Communities Day Camp are described as top-notch Summer Staff who are trained by experts. Over 800 professionally trained Summer Staff represent 100 different colleges and universities from more than 30 states. Each applicant goes through an extensive application process and a 30-minute face-to-face interview, and once offered a job, all Summer Staff undergo a background check and safety training before a week of intentional development from experts. Each WinShape Camps staff member is described as a follower of Jesus Christ.
