Youth Outdoors Nature Education Programs

Youth Outdoors Nature Education Programs offers Herpetology Camp, Summer Naturalist Camp, Budding Naturalist Camp, Chesapeake Watershed Workshop Camp, and Winter Naturalist Camp. Activities include reptile and amphibian identification, searching for and observing frogs, handling reptiles and amphibians properly, stream exploration, discovery hikes, games, snake viewing, hiking, birdwatching, and a bonfire.

Programs

• Herpetology Camp — 7-14 · June 2026; two days · Guided by an expert herpetologist. Activities include reptile and amphibian identification, searching for and observing frogs, and skills on handling reptiles and amphibians properly.
• Summer Naturalist Camp — 7-14 · July 2026; week-long sessions offered every July · $250–$300
• Budding Naturalist Camp — 4-6 · July 2026; five full days · Parents join in on the fun. Activities include stream exploration, discovery hikes, games, and snake viewing.
• Chesapeake Watershed Workshop Camp — 15-18 · July 2026
• Winter Naturalist Camp — 7-14 · December 2026 · Children ages 7-14 embark on a winter adventure. Pre-registration required. Activities include hiking, birdwatching, bonfire, and games.
