Bull Run Mountains Conservancy Educational Programs offers educational programs for adults and children that focus on the ecological, historical, and cultural features of the Bull Run Mountains Region. Research underpins these education programs, drawing on numerous baseline studies that add important data to understanding the landscape.
Bull Run Mountains Conservancy is an independent, nonprofit 501(c)(3) organization founded in 1994 to protect the Bull Run Mountains Region through education, research, and stewardship. For over 30 years, it has sponsored, assisted, and facilitated numerous baseline studies related to the landscape. Its work promotes and facilitates the preservation of land on and around the Bull Run Mountains from their southern ridges in New Baltimore to their northern end in Aldie, Virginia, and the surrounding landscape 5–10 miles in all directions. Its vision is for an active and healthy community, where preservation is an engaged and committed endeavor by people who care for the Piedmont landscape.
