Ellanor C. Lawrence Park Classes and Camps

Ellanor C. Lawrence Park Classes and Camps include activities such as Making Ice and Ice Cream at Walney, birdwatching, campfires, and family outdoor exploration. The program also offers birthday parties, field trips, historic tours, outreach programs, and options for scouts.

• Schedule: Walney Visitor Center open Monday and Wednesday–Friday 9–5 p.m., Saturday–Sunday 12–5 p.m.; park trails, picnic tables, and grounds open dawn to dusk

Ellanor C. Lawrence Park has a history that spans 8,000 years. The park includes habitats such as forests, streams, meadows, and a pond, and features live reptiles and amphibians and children’s hands-on activities at the Walney Visitor Center, along with pollinator gardens, a historic kitchen garden, historic structures, athletic fields, and a playground. The mission of Ellanor C. Lawrence Park is stated as “Ellanor C. Lawrence Park: Preserving land, protecting resources.” The park’s manager is Kylie Lee.
