Gym America - Gymnastics & Dance Center offers recreational and competitive gymnastics instruction, preschool gymnastics instruction, High School and Adult Gymnastics, Cheerleading, Hip-Hop, tumbling, Ninja Fit Classes, and dance classes such as ballet, tap, jazz, and hip hop. The program also offers Cheer and Tumbling Classes, creative movement classes, specialized classes for students with various levels of learning difficulties, and activities on vault, uneven bars, beam, floor, trampoline, rings, pommel horse, and parallel bars. Gym America provides birthday parties, open gyms, School's Out Camps, summer camps, full day and half day gymnastics camps, American Ninja Warrior camp, Tumbling and Tramp Camp, clinics, and an after school program that includes gymnastics activities, ninja fit activities, homework assistance, art activities, STEM activities, and free time in the gym.

• Schedule: Rolling enrollment with the 2026–2027 school year session running from 9/1/2026 to 6/19/2027; after school program options 3, 4, or 5 days per week, with middle school pickup on Mondays for a 2:45–4:10 gymnastics class and after school care running until 6:30pm
• Price: Trial class for $15; Virginia Run Elementary families are in the bussing district with a stated savings of $45 per month
Laura Carr, M.S., B.C.B.A., L.B.A. is the Founder and Director of Gym America – Gymnastics, Dance, and Aerial Arts, LLC. She has a Master’s Degree in Clinical Behavioral Psychology, is a Board Certified Behavior Analyst and a Licensed Behavior Analyst through Virginia’s Board of Medicine, and has previously held licensure as a Limited License Psychologist in Michigan. Laura has over 25 years of experience teaching and working with children, including 18 years coaching gymnastics through competitive level 6, over 10 years teaching dance-related classes, 10 years developing behavior plans for children and adults with behavior difficulties, 2 years conducting neuropsychological and academic testing, and more than 3 years as Director of Behavioral Services at a private day placement school for children with severe behavior difficulties. Coach Laura is certified in First Aid and CPR, is USA Gymnastics Safety Certified, and is a USA Gymnastics Professional Member.
Gym America states that its mission is to maximize the potential of every child who walks through its doors by providing a stimulating and innovative learning environment, with learning taking place through various movement activities and a focus on learning fundamental skills in a fun and positive environment. Classes are divided into levels based on ability, each class includes stretching and strength along with event instruction, and classes are co-ed through the white level. The after school program has a maximum of 24 students, and Gym America offers new programs for middle school students with pickup options from Rachel Carson Middle School, Franklin Middle School, and Rocky Run Middle School. Elementary schools that will bus to Gym America include Virginia Run Elementary, and Gym America provides pickup for Brookfield, Crossfield, Cub Run, Dogwood, Dominion Christian School, Falcon Academy, Fox Mill, Hunter’s Woods, Nysmith, and Oak Hill during the 2026–2027 school year.
