Mountaintop Montessori Summer Camps

Mountaintop Montessori Summer Camps offers a range of options including Sprout camp and SEED camp, which are nature-based, as well as Art camp, Drama camp, and Smash camp that combines cooking, creative writing, and sports. The program also includes time in a Montessori classroom. After-camp care is available from 3:30 to 5:30.

• Ages: 3–11 years old
• Schedule: Weekly and multi-week sessions from June 8–July 30, with five sessions ranging from one to two weeks in length
• Price: Half-day programs $255/week, full-day programs $395/week, after-camp care $85/week; rates reduced for 4-day weeks

Mountaintop Montessori Summer Camps is led by certified Montessori teachers and uses mixed-age classrooms, child-directed work, uninterrupted work periods, and a complete selection of Montessori materials. Mountaintop Montessori is accredited by the American Montessori Society and the Virginia Association of Independent Schools and has held these accreditations since 2006 and 2008, respectively. The school states that its mission is to provide the greater Charlottesville community with an exceptional and authentic Montessori education, serving children and families from infancy through adolescence.
