Crozet Arts offers ballet classes, theater classes and theater production work, Music Together classes, and instrument classes including cello, guitar, handbell, and flute. It also offers art classes in drawing, painting, and mixed-media, movement classes in a peaceful studio environment that focus on strength, balance, flexibility, and calm, and Free Improv sessions. The Hamner Theater is in residence at Crozet Arts.
• Ages: 0–18 years old
• Schedule: All Hamner evening events begin at 7:30 with the house opening at 7:00, all Sunday events start at 2pm with the house opening at 1:30pm, and Free Improv sessions take place on Saturdays from 1–3.
• Price: All tickets are a suggested donation of $20 to support the artists and the theater.
Crozet Arts is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit dedicated to building community through accessible creative practice across theater, dance, music, visual arts, and movement for all ages in Crozet, Virginia. Crozet Arts is registered as Old Crozet School Arts. Crozet Arts collaborates with The Hamner Theater, a nonprofit theater company founded in 2005 and rooted in community storytelling and open, accessible theater that creates performances, workshops, and conversations that bring hidden stories to light and make theater available to all. The Hamner Theater is under the artistic leadership of Boomie Pedersen. Need-based scholarships are available. One supporter described Crozet Arts as “people who do what they love, with love, against considerable odds, and touch lots of lives,” and noted that “lives are changed much more at the level you live and teach and inspire at.”
