Grovespring Farm Riding Lessons and Summer Camp

Grovespring Farm Riding Lessons and Summer Camp offers horseback riding lessons and summer camps. The camp options include a Half-Day Beginner Riding Camp with instruction in riding and horse care, a Full-Day Equestrian Camp that includes riding at least twice a day, and horseback riding lessons with private, semi-private, and group options. Riding lessons can include ring, trail, and field lessons.

Programs

• Half-Day Beginner Riding Camp — 6-10 · For boys and girls ages 6-10 featuring instruction in riding and horse care. Designed for beginner to novice riders.
• Full-Day Equestrian Camp — 6-18 · Bring your own horse or pony or use one of ours. More intense and in depth; includes riding at least twice a day and more stable material.
• Horseback Riding Lessons — all ages and levels · Children ride in the afternoon after school Monday through Thursday and on Saturdays. Adult groups are on Tuesdays, Thursdays, and Friday afternoons. Homeschool lessons are available during the day. · Private, semi-private, and group lessons are available. Ring, trail, and field lessons are available.

About the provider

The program is led by Susan Deal and Kris Deal. It is a Recognized Riding Academy with the United States Hunter Jumper Association, and Susan Deal is a certified instructor with the USHJA. The program says, "We help people connect to horses, learn, and have fun!" It also schools young horses and riders at the farm, goes to shows once or twice a month, takes field trips to ride out, and takes students riding to hounds from September to March, local shows, and the occasional rated show from April to September.
