Danville Family YMCA Summer Camps

Danville Family YMCA Summer Camps include swim times in the pool, field trips, and campus visits to colleges. Campers attend specific field trips such as the Asheboro Zoo, Danville Science Center, Frankie’s, Greensboro Grasshoppers Baseball Game, Amazement Square, Greensboro Science Center, Uptown Pinball, and Palace Pointe. Each week of Summer Camp has a theme, and during Week 9 (Fun Finale) of Summer Camp, parents are welcome to join in on camp activities.

• Ages: 5–17 years old
• Schedule: Camp Sunshine runs for 9 weeks from June 2nd to August 1st; Teen Camp meets in four separate weeks between June 16th and August 1st
• Price: Camp Sunshine: $175/week for members and $350/week for non-members with a $50 one-time registration fee and scholarships available for those who qualify; Teen Camp: $150/week for members and $300/week for non-members with a $50 registration fee per week and scholarships available for those who qualify

The Danville Family YMCA Summer Camps take place at a facility that includes a pool and a gymnasium. The Danville Family YMCA’s mission is to put Christian principles into practice through programs that build healthy spirit, mind, and body for all. The leadership team for childcare programs includes Tevris Fitzgerald, Childcare & Marketing Director, and Melissa Trent, Childcare Coordinator. The Danville Family YMCA is a charitable, volunteer-driven, community-based organization that collaborates with schools, hospitals, and other non-profit organizations and offers coaching, mentoring, and other volunteer options. Local membership includes member pricing on programs such as swim lessons, personal training, and massage therapy, nationwide access to YMCAs across the country, and onsite Child Watch while members work out.
