Path Summer Camp takes place at the Danville Science Center and includes activities such as Science Unplugged, Path Butterfly Hello, and Path Curious George™: Let’s Get Curious!. Campers take part in hands-on activities, interactive exhibits, live demos, touring exhibitions, and special events. The program also features experiences in The Dome, including breathtaking presentations, and access to 3D printing, water maze and water painting exhibits, and other physical activities in the newly remodeled galleries and creativity lab.

The Danville Science Center has been the Dan River Region’s educational and cultural anchor since 1995 and is part of the Science Museum of Virginia, a state-supported agency of the Commonwealth of Virginia. The Center’s mission is: “At the Danville Science Center, we inspire all our guests to enrich their lives with science.” Visitors describe the Center as having newly remodeled galleries, new permanent exhibits, a creativity lab, a whole lower level dedicated to water, a Digital Dome, and a butterfly exhibit, with comments noting that it is “a wonderful asset for Danville,” “amazing,” and “super great” with “a lot to do for all ages.”
