Blue Ribbon Results Academy describes itself as Virginia's Premier Brain-Based Learning Preschool and uses a brain-based curriculum. The program implements Virginia's Early Learning and Development Standards (ELDS) and Birth-Five Learning Guidelines, and the curriculum aligns with VKRP and VALs state assessments and CLASS interactions. Children must be potty trained to join the program, and the program offers a Before and After Care program, small classroom ratios, and both a Lead and Assistant Teacher in the classroom. Summer Session is included in school year enrollment, and up to 100% tuition assistance is available. The program uses a VDOE-approved curriculum and has been recognized as the best preschool in Dumfries and as the “Best Preschool in Norfolk.” The mission statement is “Nurturing Children And Developing Minds, One Brain At A Time.” -Dr. Sheila Holas. Blue Ribbon Results Academy notes that it is a brain based preschool born out of the love and compassion for ages 2-4 who struggle to read, write, and solve basic math problems. Additionally, they accept Child Care Aware, Virginia Child Care Subsidy, Mixed-Delivery Program Grant, CCAMPIS by Norfolk State University, and Military Child Care in Your Neighborhood (MYCCN). The program provides Parent/Teacher Conferences, and 2025 Christmas Programs are available to watch on their YouTube channel. While snacks are not provided in After Care, students are welcome to bring their own. The late policy states that students must be in the building by 9:00 AM, with late drop-off only allowed with a doctor's note or pre-arranged late arrival via the Brightwheel app. The leadership contact listed is the Site Administrator at [email protected]. The program notes years of operation as ©2012-2025.
