Boys & Girls Clubs of Harrisonburg and Rockingham County offers the Too Good For Drugs (TGFD) program along with other substance use prevention, violence prevention, and nutrition education curricula. The mission of Boys & Girls Clubs of Harrisonburg and Rockingham County is to enable all young people, especially those who need the program the most, to reach their full potential as productive, caring, and responsible citizens. VFHY’s mission for Youth Development grantees is to provide evidence-based tobacco, nicotine, and vaping prevention or cessation instruction directly to Virginia youth, and these programs reach about 40,000 youth statewide each year in settings such as public schools, preschools, houses of faith, community centers, and after-school programs. Community involvement also includes participation in Madison’s Annual Christmas Tree Decorating Contest at Hotel Madison, where people can vote for the Boys & Girls Club Tree.
