James Lee Community Center Youth Programs include intramural sports such as basketball, soccer, and flag football, as well as open gym time for basketball or other activities. The program also offers homework assistance, arts and crafts, cooking, socials and special events, project-based STEAM activities, self-guided workouts in the fitness center, and personal and professional development classes and workshops. Participants can take part in the Clubhouse Network afterschool program, James Lee Robotics, tech literacy and education programs covering topics from email and social media to coding and emerging technology, and attend productions from local theatre and cultural groups in the community theatre.

The center also offers technology programs for all ages and Therapeutic Recreation Services that provide opportunities for children and adults with disabilities and promote access to the sensory space at James Lee. All NCS Community, Senior and Teen Centers, including this one, serve as warming and cooling centers during extreme weather, and visitors using these services do not have access to programming or classes unless they are current registered members.
