Summer Camps offers seasonal camp sessions with registration that opens on different dates for city residents and non-city residents. Registration for city residents opens on Wednesday, April 2, 2025, at 9:00am, and registration for non-city residents opens on Wednesday, April 9, 2025, at 9:00am. Spaces in the camps fill on a first-come, first-served basis, and all camps use online registration.
• Schedule: 2025 Summer Camp registration opens April 2 at 9:00am for city residents and April 9 at 9:00am for non-city residents.
• Price: A 15% administrative fee is charged on all refund requests for advanced cancellations; cancellation requests less than 14 days before the camp start date are eligible for a 50% refund; there are no refunds on cancellations less than 7 days before the camp start date, and no refunds for those who withdraw after the program start date.
Fee waivers are available for those who qualify. Families must provide their own transportation to the camps. The department reserves the right to require age verification for children enrolled in the programs. Refunds require 4 weeks for processing unless paid by credit card, and credit card refunds take 5 business days to process. The City has named Jennifer Casarotti as the Director of Parks, Recreation and Events. The City has received a Commonwealth Technology Award for the City Tree Management Initiative. Families can register for Fredericksburg Alert program notifications to receive weather cancellation notices, and cancellations are also announced by Facebook and Fred Alert.
