Galax Parks & Recreation Youth Programs include youth sports, swim lessons, youth basketball games, and a Summer Activity Program. The programs also connect to open gym time, public swim time, lap swim, an afterschool activity program, and pool parties. Additional activities offered through the same department include water aerobic classes, aquatic exercises classes, yoga, a Women's Self-Defense seminar, Men's Indoor Soccer/Futsal, and a VA Boating Safety & Education Certification Course.

• Schedule: Options include winter public swim time on Saturdays from 2–4pm between January 10, 2026 and February 28, 2026, lap swim on Saturdays from 10–11:30am and Sundays from 1–2:30pm, and youth basketball games in both gyms beginning at 10am on Saturdays.
• Price: Men's Indoor Soccer/Futsal registration fee is $240 per team, and the VA Boating Safety & Education Certification Course is free.
