Henrico Recreation & Parks Programs offers a variety of events and activities for all ages and abilities. Programs include visual arts, nature and outdoor activities, and options for preschool children through senior adults. Families can use the Rec & Parks APP as an on-the-go guide to events and programs and can register for programs online at any time.

Henrico County Recreation & Parks is a CAPRA (Commission for Accreditation of Park and Recreation Agencies) Accredited Agency. Henrico County was first awarded CAPRA accreditation in September 2019 and received re-accreditation in September 2024. The department oversees the development, construction, and maintenance of parks, recreation facilities, athletic complexes, and historic sites throughout Henrico County and provides winter and fall program guides. Henrico County’s VA250 committee is part of larger state and national efforts to recognize the people and events of the American colonies’ fight for independence and its founding through an ongoing series of programs, events, and projects. Program registration is available online 24/7 with search options by category, age, or location, and major credit cards are accepted for registration with a small convenience fee.
