The school highlights community traditions such as a TEDxYouth@RVA event planned, promoted, and hosted by Seniors as part of their Senior Capstone class, a Kindergarten Buddies program that connects Seniors and Kindergarteners, and Brunch, a musical event performed by junior girls in honor of senior girls that has been a tradition since the 1940s. Collegiate School states that it does not discriminate on the basis of race, color, national or ethnic origin, religion, gender, sexual orientation, mental or physical disability, or any other status protected by applicable law in the administration of its admissions, scholarships, and loans, and its educational, athletic, and other programs. The school also states a commitment to responsive and compassionate citizenship and service on campus, in the local community, and in the broader world. A parent testimonial notes that long-term friendships formed at Collegiate have extended across families and generations.
