Herndon Youth Soccer offers recreational soccer, competitive soccer, and specific options such as Travel Tryouts, First Touch Academy, a Pre-Travel Program, a Community/Recreation Program, and a Competitive/Travel Program. The Community/Recreation Program teams practice once or twice per week and play games on Saturdays, and teams train once or twice per week with volunteer coaches. The Pre-Travel Program is for motivated U7 to U10 soccer players preparing for the transition to competitive soccer. The Community/Recreation Program provides young players with a fun, supportive, and development-focused soccer experience and is led by volunteer coaches, with ages 10–19 competing in the NCSL's Recreational division against other local clubs. The Competitive/Travel Program is a competitive, year-round program for committed players seeking advanced development and elite competition, with players competing in top leagues and tournaments locally, regionally, and nationally, and following a clear developmental pathway that prepares athletes for college and professional play.
