King George Family YMCA Youth Programs

King George Family YMCA Youth Programs include before and after school care, child watch, preschool, and camp options. The programs take place in a facility that also has an indoor pool, gymnasium, wellness center, group fitness studio, Gravity Room, Cycle Room, hot tub, and adult and family locker rooms. Before and after school care and day camps are offered as part of these youth programs.

• Schedule: Facility open Monday–Friday 5:00am–9:00pm, Saturday 7:00am–6:00pm, and Sunday 12:00pm–4:00pm

The stated mission of King George Family YMCA is to offer a variety of programs for youth, adults, families, and communities to be healthy, confident, connected, and secure. The leadership team includes Meaghan Williams (Senior Vice President/Executive Director), Erin Reiley (Associate Membership Director), Clara LaMoy (Aquatics Director), Miriam Niemi (Childcare Manager), Heidi Gimmellie (Special Events Director), Shelly Rose (Wellness Director), Laureana Clift (Community Health Coach), and Ann-Courtney Winfrey (Preschool Manager). YMCA is described as the largest provider of child care in Virginia. The Rappahannock Area YMCA hosts special events throughout the year connected to its mission and community, and community-based service projects include planning a food drive or contributing to a community garden.
