About

PRCS Summer Camps offers a variety of activities, including outdoor adventure, sports, art, science, nature, engineering, dance, music, theater, and video gaming. Sports options include baseball, basketball, football, soccer, tennis, volleyball, and wrestling, and some camps focus on equine and leadership activities.

• Ages: 3–18 years old
• Schedule: Camps are offered in June, July, and August, with Adaptive Recreation Summer Camp running Monday–Friday, June 29–July 24, 2026, 9:00am–4:00pm, and Daze & Fest Summer Camps running Monday, June 29–Friday, July 31; online registration closes 21 days before each camp week start date.

Adaptive Recreation Summer Camp offers traditional recreation activities and new leisure experiences and is designed to meet the individual needs of participants who generally benefit from extra support as they work toward daily success in school, leisure, and community settings. Adaptive Recreation Summer Camp staff is trained to support a safe and fun camp experience for participants. Daze Summer Camp is for children enrolled in grades K–5 for fall 2026, and Fest Summer Camp is for children enrolled in grades 6–8 for fall, with weekly activities that include science and nature, arts and crafts, sports, group games, music and drama, cooking, and an end-of-summer camp-wide celebration. PRCS offers full-day, half-day, and special interest camp options for preschool through high school, and some camps, including trip camps, are operated as licensed camps with preregistration for returning campers and required forms. PRCS uses PRCS Connect as its registration and payment system, including a new automated waitlist system starting with Summer Camps in 2026 for some programs, which sends automated waitlist email notifications with a 36-hour window to accept or reject an enrollment offer. For select summer camps, including Daze & Fest, licensed programs, and Adaptive Recreation, PRCS uses ePACT to collect paperwork required by the Virginia Department of Education Child Day Care Center Standards, and a refund policy is in place with different terms based on how many days before the start date a refund is requested.
