About
Reggio’s Treehouse is an authentic Reggio Emilia inspired preschool that educates and enriches the minds and lives of young learners. The program embraces the Reggio Emilia philosophy that teaches children to become self-directed learners and whose guiding principles encourage self-expression and critical thinking. Reggio’s Treehouse implements Project Based Learning (PBL), and programs are customized to a child’s progress, needs, and age.

Reggio’s Treehouse was born in 2017. The program’s guiding core values are: respect all life, tolerance of all opinions, value of every individual, and love for the planet. Reggio’s Treehouse aims to guide the intellectual curiosity of its students and prepare them to become self-directed learners who have a positive image of themselves, their peers, and a deep respect for their environment. Reggio’s Treehouse is described as enriching young minds, nurturing curiosity and creativity, and paying close attention to all aspects of a child's development.
The educator founder, Ms. Ayesha, is considered an early years education expert. She completed an undergraduate degree in Psychology and a graduate degree in Linguistics in 1997, along with advanced education credits from The Buck Institute for Education and from the University of Aurora, Chicago. She also completed 41 hours of training at Harvard University in “Teaching for Understanding: Focus on Student Understanding.” Ms. Ayesha is certified by Association Montessori Internationale (AMI), is a teacher trainer for Project Based Learning (PBL) from the Buck Institute, and began solely focusing on the Reggio Emilia Approach in 2009. The leadership team includes educator founder Ms. Ayesha and business founder Kashef Mahmud, along with directors and assistant directors for multiple Reggio’s Treehouse and partner locations.
Reggio’s Treehouse has locations or programs associated with the Commerce Department Child Care Center, Federal Communications Commission (FCC) TeleTots, Federal Trade Commission (FTC), HHS/ED Children’s Center, Housing and Urban Development (HUD) The Children’s House, Little Flyers Academy (FAA Tech Center - NJ), and Cleveland Fed Kids (CLVD). Reputable organizations exclusively utilizing Reggio Emilia for in-house childcare programs are referenced in connection with Reggio’s Treehouse.
