KidStrong Stone Ridge (VA)

KidStrong Stone Ridge (VA) offers weekly classes that include science-based fitness games, obstacle courses, tug of war, and tire flips. Each week, kids join for 45-minute classes led by highly-trained coaches using science-based programming designed by child development experts. Classes follow a curriculum that includes a high-coaching milestone block, a Move & Learn block, a competition block, and an award ceremony at the end of each class.

KidStrong is a kids training program that builds strong, confident and high-character kids through weekly 45-minute classes led by expert coaches, with a curriculum that focuses on three pillars: character, physical, and cognitive. The program reports that 96% of kids see an increase in self-confidence, 88% of parents notice social skills improvement, and 85% of kids say it is more fun than other programs. Parents join class on the floor with kids under 4 years old.

The leadership team behind the program includes Founders Matt & Megin Sharp, Senior Manager of Training & Certification Morgan Johnson, Senior Programming Specialist Ramon Williams, and Programming Specialist Randy Nguyen.

Parents from other KidStrong locations have shared that the program has taught their children how to participate, listen, be a good teammate, and practice patience, and some describe their kids coming out of their shells and becoming less shy. One parent from KidStrong Prosper noted that coaches are well trained and highly skilled and that KidStrong is their family’s favorite part of each week.
