About
SoHo Performing Arts offers acting, singing, dance, and musical theatre training for young performers. Participants rehearse and perform in Broadway style productions as part of the program. The program includes one week Musical Theater camps that focus on acting, singing, and dance.

• Schedule: One week Musical Theater camps for ages 7 to 16 years
SoHo Performing Arts was founded in 2015. The program includes a daytime homeschool program and an evening after school program, both offering training in acting, singing, and dancing for ages 7 to 16 years. SoHo Performing Arts is described as a premier youth musical theatre company in Northern Virginia and is known for its commitment to artistic excellence, professional instruction, and a positive, supportive environment where performers of all experience levels are encouraged to grow both on and off the stage.
Heather Orr is the Founder and Artistic Director of SoHo Performing Arts. She earned her degree in Dance from City University of New York and was awarded the Fannie Weiss Scholarship from the American Dance Guild, where she trained with the José Limón Dance Company. She furthered her professional training at Broadway Dance Center, Steps on Broadway, The American Academy of Dramatic Arts, The William Esper Studio, and Twyla Tharp's Choreography Lab. She has more than 25 years of experience in musical theatre, dance, directing, choreography, and arts education and is a licensed educator. Heather has provided students with opportunities to perform in the Disneyland Parks, appear in NBA halftime performances, and participate in numerous competitions and festivals.
The mission of SoHo Performing Arts states that theatre at SoHo is about more than the final bow and focuses on growing confident kids, building lifelong friendships, and discovering the best version of themselves.
