Richmond Traditional Martial Arts offers training in Atemi Ryu Jujitsu, Krav Maga, Karate, Tae Kwon Do, Kickboxing, Tai Chi, and self defense. Students can also take part in sparring, after-school programs, and a summer camp that is described as an enhanced extension of the after-school program. Richmond Traditional Martial Arts is described as a prestigious martial arts studio and one of the best studios in Richmond, and it serves students from Hanover, Henrico, and Glen Allen. The academy teaches both fundamental and advanced techniques in its listed martial arts styles, and its philosophy focuses on the interaction between yin and yang to achieve balance and harmony in life. He holds a 10th Dan in Tae Kwon Do and a 9th Dan in Atemi Ryu Jujitsu and has trained with Grand Master Phillip Chenique, Soke Ron Craddock, Grand Master Seung G. Dong, and Grand Master Phaung Hoang, specializing in Tae Kwon Do, pressure points, hand-to-hand combat, and ground fighting. He recommends, and is training with, the American Federation of Martial Arts (AFMA), and he has a degree in respiratory therapy (CRTT, RRT) and is also a computer engineer, with his medical training assisting him in work with martial arts students who have varied medical and physical needs. Grand Master Vazquez has been named to The Universal Martial Arts Hall of Fame, and Richmond Traditional Martial Arts, Inc. is listed with SAM Registration Entity information including UEI H4ETPFZUCHZ6 and CAGE 9PER6.
