Camp Mont Shenandoah offers a traditional summer camp program where campers take part in swimming, canoeing, horseback riding, archery, and a variety of land sports such as lacrosse, hockey, soccer, tennis, and basketball. The program also includes performing activities, arts and crafts, creative arts, fitness and wellness, and time focused on the outdoors. Campers spend time in spaces such as West Lodge for social and recreational life, The Beehive for arts and crafts, the archery range in a protected glen, Cabell Stable for riding, and LHS field for land sports, with activities also held at the clay tennis courts and adjacent basketball court.

Camp Mont Shenandoah has been creating summers for girls since 1927 and will celebrate its 100th season in 2026. The program is described as a traditional summer camp experience for girls, with guiding principles that focus on character-building and a program that includes adventure, challenge, and fun while growing in self-confidence, independence, and connectedness. Camp Mont Shenandoah is listed on the National Register of Historic Places, and its rustic-style buildings, including Senior Hill cabins for girls 11 years and older and Junior Row cabins such as Wee Women, Pony Express, and Sleepy Hollow, mostly date to the 1920s and were designed to blend with the surrounding landscape. The Feed Bag serves as the traditional dining hall, Vesper Hill includes a campfire circle, and The Pill Box is a climate-controlled healthcare facility built in 2015 with examination and treatment areas and bedrooms for recuperating campers, with healthcare services available there 24 hours a day.

The 2026 schedule includes a six-week session from June 27 to August 8, two three-week sessions from June 27 to July 18 and July 19 to August 8, and a one-week Roots & Shoots session from August 9 to 15. Listed 2026 events include Opening Day on June 27, a dinner for parents on July 17, Parents’ Day on July 18, the arrival of second three-week campers on July 19, The Musical on August 1, a Horse Show on August 3, Songfest on August 4, the Final Honor Meet on August 7, the end of the six-week and second three-week sessions on August 8, the start of Roots & Shoots on August 9, and the conclusion of Camp Mont Shenandoah’s 100th season on August 15.

Tuition covers most extras, including trips, laundry, and all activity costs, and does not cover riding fees, transportation to and from camp, medical expenses, camp uniform, or camp store charges. A 5% discount is applied to the tuition of any sister of a registered camper. A deposit of $1,000 is required for three- and six-week sessions and $400 for the one-week Roots & Shoots session, fully refundable until February 1, 2026, with the tuition balance due by March 15, 2026, or within one month of registration after March 1, 2026, and no refunds after that date. Payments made online by credit card incur a 3.25% convenience fee on payments larger than $165 and a $4.95 fee on payments $165 and under, while e-check payments incur a $2.95 convenience fee. Horseback riding fees for 2025 are listed as $850 or $1,600 for six-week campers depending on hours, $425 or $800 for three-week campers, and $110 or $220 for one-week Roots & Shoots campers, depending on frequency.
