YMCA of Virginia's Blue Ridge Youth Programs are part of the YMCA of Virginia's Blue Ridge and follow the organization's focus on youth development, healthy living, and social responsibility. The programs are guided by the YMCA of Virginia's Blue Ridge mission to put Christian principles into practice through programs that build a healthy spirit, mind and body for all.
The YMCA of Virginia's Blue Ridge acknowledges and embraces that Christian principles are a significant piece of its organizational mission and defines those principles through the Christian principle of love from I Corinthians 13:13. The organization applies this principle of love through holistic programming and states that it chooses to love all people, including people of all races, genders, and belief systems. The Y has been listening and responding to communities' most critical social needs for 160 years. Through the Y, 500,000 volunteers and thousands of donors, leaders, and partners across the country are involved in empowering millions of people in the United States and around the world.
