Rappahannock Area YMCA Youth Programs include swimming, youth sports, adult sports, and fitness and well-being activities. The program also offers after school care, summer camps, adult fitness, special needs programs, evidence-based wellness programs, waterpark parties, a family-friendly Special Needs Splash waterpark event, community-based service projects, food drives, a community garden, live fitness classes, and daily activities for kids. Families can also access a YMCA Waterpark with slides and splashes, waterpark parties for special occasions, and day passes for the waterpark, along with programs for all ages, abilities, and stages of life and a focus on healthy aging and addressing social isolation among seniors.

The Rappahannock Area YMCA Youth Programs operate under a leadership team that includes a CEO, senior vice president, directors, managers, and board members in areas such as community health and wellness, childcare, aquatics, racquet sports, wellness, membership, special events, philanthropy, and youth programs. The organization’s stated mission is: “Through empowering young people, improving individual and community well-being, and inspiring action, we aim to create meaningful change in our community.” Community involvement includes community-based service projects such as planning a food drive or contributing to a community garden, as well as special events throughout the year that support and celebrate this mission and community.
