About
Cyber Bytes Academy offers cybersecurity and data analytics programs, including Network+ and Security+ CompTIA boot-camp series. The program also runs summer camps for children and a camp where teenagers build and bring home their own drones with certification. Cyber Bytes Academy operates within a broader set of offerings that include veterans programs, innovation labs, teambuilding offsites, and onsite Pearson Vue testing.

Cyber Bytes Academy is part of the Cyber Bytes Foundation, whose mission is to establish and sustain a cyber ecosystem that produces education, innovation, and outreach programs responsive to national security challenges, and to assist in reducing the growing cybersecurity workforce gap. Its programs educate students worldwide through a faculty body that offers programs that stimulate intellectual curiosity, critical thinking, and creativity needed in the international community. Cybersecurity and data analytics programs are offered in partnership with Virginia Tech University, and the academy’s offerings are informed by the National Initiative for Cybersecurity Education (NICE) Cybersecurity Workforce Framework.
Cyber Bytes Academy is a State Council of Higher Education for Virginia (SCHEV) Certified Learning Facility and has a Pearson Vue Testing Center onsite. The organization has a formal partnership with Stafford County Public Schools to advance cyberlearning for K–12 and supports the local community in preparing the next generation of IT professionals. The leadership team includes Brian DeMuth (Co-Founder/Board Chair), Nancy Pattillo (Executive Director), Sylvester Lasky (Operations Analyst 1), Desiree Buskirk (Operations & Contracts Specialist), and Cesar Nader (Founder).
Parents and community members describe the summer camps for children, the camp where teenagers build and bring home drones with certification, the veterans programs, and the innovation labs as exciting and engaging.
