About
Cyber Bytes Academy offers cybersecurity and data analytics programs that include Network+ CompTIA boot-camp series and Security+ CompTIA boot-camp series. The academy works in sync with the Quantico Cyber Hub to combine theory with experiential learning opportunities, and it serves as a hub for cybersecurity skills development informed by the National Initiative for Cybersecurity Education (NICE) Cybersecurity Workforce Framework. The program also offers summer camps for children where teenagers have built and brought home their own drones with certification, along with access to innovation labs and a Pearson Vue Testing Center onsite.
Cyber Bytes Academy operates as part of the Cyber Bytes Foundation 501(c)(3), whose mission is to establish and sustain a unique cyber ecosystem to produce education, innovation, and outreach programs responsive to national security challenges and to enhance developers and the cyber workforce. The mission also includes educating students worldwide through a highly qualified faculty body while offering programs that stimulate intellectual curiosity, critical thinking, and creativity needed in the international community. The leadership team includes Founder Cesar Nader, Co-Founder Brian DeMuth, Executive Director Nancy Pattillo, Operations Analyst 1 Sylvester Lasky, and Operations & Contracts Specialist Desiree Buskirk.
Cyber Bytes Academy is a State Council of Higher Education for Virginia (SCHEV) Certified Learning Facility. It has a formal partnership with Stafford County Public Schools to advance cyberlearning for K–12 and provides support for the local community to support the next generation of IT professionals. Testimonials describe the summer camps for children as exciting and engaging, note that teenagers enjoyed building drones and earning certification, and mention that the organization offers veterans programs, innovation labs, and opportunities for teambuilding offsite or hosting meetings.
