About
4-H Junior Summer Camp is an overnight, residential camp where campers kayak, canoe, and paddleboard on the James River. The program also includes archery, survival skills, orienteering, dance, crafts, music, STEAM projects, low ropes courses, problem-solving games, campfires, evening programs, and time splashing around in the pool. Activities are described as fun, hands-on, full of discovery, and focused on unplugged fun with moments in nature away from screens.
• Ages: 9–13 years old
• Schedule: Week-long sessions
This camp is designed for youth ages 9–13 from York County and the City of Poquoson. Every activity is described as being designed to help campers grow confidence, independence, leadership, and teamwork skills. Teen and adult counselor applications are open.
