About

VINS Nature Camp takes place at the VINS Nature Center and includes activities such as the Forest Canopy Walk, Adventure Playscape, and Nature Trails. Campers may visit outdoor exhibits featuring Raptors and the Songbird Aviary, as well as indoor exhibits including Birds Are Dinosaurs, the Forest Exhibit, and the Reptile Room. The program connects with daily visitor programs like Raptors Up Close, Songbird Aviary Tour, Raptor Feeding Time, and Natural Wonders, and is part of a broader set of offerings that also includes Nature Camp, Ambassador Birthday Bash, Spring Wild Greens and Mushrooms, and Introduction to Birding: Beginner Bird Walk.

• Schedule: The VINS Nature Center is open daily from 10 AM to 5 PM, with Wild Bird Rehab open daily from 8 AM to 4:30 PM.

Wild Bird Rehab at the same center is staffed by highly-trained rehabilitators and treats injured and orphaned birds from throughout New England. The organization’s mission is motivating individuals and communities to care for the environment through education, research, and avian wildlife rehabilitation. Unique features at the center include an Eagle Cam, ambassador animals whose birthdays are celebrated, and a guided foray of the woods around the VINS Nature Center for wild edibles. Visitor reviews describe the area as having a treetop or canopy walk and note that the facility houses rescued birds with flight or visual impairments.
