Best Darn College Camp is a gymnastics camp with a college recruiting focus that includes acclimation practice, workouts, and direct interaction with college staff through a College Coach Q & A and a College Q & A with Staff. The program offers both a three-day camp and a one-day camp, with specific workout sessions and college-focused activities.
• Ages: 14–18 years old
• Schedule: July 24–26, 2026, with a three-day camp that includes three workouts (a 2.5-hour acclimation practice on Friday, one 4.5-hour workout on Saturday, and one 4.5-hour workout on Sunday), and a one-day camp with a Friday 8:00 am–12:00 pm workout.
• Price: 3 Day Camp (primarily Level 10’s and Elites*): $700 + sales tax; 1 Day Camp (Levels 7–9*): $250 + sales tax; attending coaches: free; 3 Day Camp deposit: $200 non-refundable due within two weeks of acceptance; 1 Day Camp deposit: $100 non-refundable due within two weeks of acceptance; remaining balance due May 15, 2026; final refund date June 24, 2026 with doctor’s note and refund of $450 ($700 minus $200 deposit and $50 processing).
Each athlete in the three-day camp works with coaches representing 16 different universities from around the country, and the camp hosts an average of 25–35 colleges and universities each summer. Three-day camp athletes receive two Best Darn College Camp leotards, a Best Darn College Camp T-shirt, a drawstring bag, reposts of their gymnastics Instagram posts highlighting their participation, and an info form with social media links given to each college coach in attendance. One-day camp athletes work closely with 8 university coaches and receive one Best Darn College Camp leotard, a Best Darn College Camp T-shirt, and a Best Darn College Camp drawstring bag, with the option to purchase the second leotard at retail pricing. The camp is open to any and all, limited only by number, age, grade, and/or gender.
Best Darn College Camp is hosted by Best Darn Gymnastics, whose mission is to use collective knowledge, experience, and passion to provide educational content, support, and inspiration to gymnastics coaches of all levels. Best Darn Gymnastics works to bring people together through competitions, camps, and clinics for gymnasts and coaches, as well as free online content that encourages education and collaboration. Since its inception last year, Best Darn College Camp has grown to host 34 attending universities in the summer and is described as the top camp of its kind in the words of multiple university coaches. The leadership team includes founders Brett Wargo and Sarah Korngold from Auburn, Washington, and mentor Cleo Washington from Singapore, and the organization notes a commitment to self-assessment after each camp to maximize value and quality of experience.
