The program offers Coder's Pathways camps during school breaks, flagship Coder's Ladder group classes year-round, private classes year-round, and enrichment classes during the school year. All curriculum is designed to grow with students, with a focus on teaching coding skills and introducing different programming languages appropriate for each student’s age and experience level, using a project-focused approach that ranges from Scratch games to web applications.
The program states that each child can advance at their own pace, with a goal that no one is left behind or bored by slow progress, and that the quality of classes and student satisfaction are the top consideration. Programs have been designed by Computer Science experts, and instructors are carefully selected and trained with continued coaching, with ongoing improvement and expansion of the curriculum based on feedback. Coding with Kids reports a “skills first, tools second” teaching philosophy, an individualized approach, and a commitment to an excellent experience in classes.
