Gymnastics East offers Parent Tot Classes, Tiny Tot Classes, Grasshoppers, Crickets, Bumblebees, Hummingbirds, and girls and boys classes. Activities include beam, bars, floor, trampoline basics, handstands, cartwheels, pullovers, bars, beam, floor, vault, trampolines, and practice on small equipment.
Programs
- Parent Tot Classes — 18 months to 3 years · Children develop movement, playground safety, and social skills with a parent.
- Tiny Tot Classes — Preschool athletes · Preschool athletes learn beam, bars, floor, and trampoline basics in a fun, structured setting.
- Grasshoppers — 3-year-old children who are potty trained and diaper free · Introduction to organized sports and group classes; learn to walk in a line, take turns, and follow coach directions.
- Crickets — Ages 4 to 6 · Beginning gymnastics skills and basics that support overall athletic success.
- Bumblebees — Ages 4 to 6 · Intermediate class; students test into this level from Crickets and learn handstands, cartwheels, and pullovers.
- Hummingbirds — Ages 4 to 6 · Advanced class; students test into this level from Bumblebees and build on those skills.
- Girls Classes — First through fifth grade; middle school; high school · Girls classes include Mini-Bounders / Bounders, Mini-Flips / Flips, Aerials, Springers, Middle School, and High School.
- Mini-Bounders / Bounders — Girls in first through fifth grade · Beginning-level class with bars, beam, floor, vault, and trampoline.
- Mini-Flips / Flips — Girls in first through fifth grade · Intermediate level for girls in first through fifth grade.
- Aerials — Girls in first through fifth grade · Advanced level for girls in first through fifth grade.
- Springers — Girls in first through fifth grade · Highest level in the class program before middle school or high school classes.
- Boys Classes — First through fifth grade; middle school; high school · Boys classes include Mini-Eagles / Eagles and Falcons.

About the provider
Gymnastics East has been operating since 1979. Owner Kim Thomson grew up in the program, returned as a coach, bought the gym in 2000, and still owns and operates Gymnastics East. The mission statement is: "Shaping Athletes. Growing Passions. Building Skills." The program emphasizes strength, confidence, skill, balance, coordination, focus, and encouragement. The competitive team continually earns state, regional, and national awards, and graduates continue into college gymnastics opportunities. Supervising coaches are CPR/First Aid certified.
