SGA has been building strength, skill and confidence in the Seattle community since 1981 and has been a member of the Seattle community for over 40 years. SGA strives to provide all ages, skill levels and abilities with positive, safe and progressive quality gymnastics instruction, and its mission is to provide the physical and mental benefits of the sport of gymnastics for ages preschoolers to adults. All coaches are highly trained and qualified, including Safe Sport, CPR and Head’s Up certified.

Seattle Gymnastics Academy is a 100% employee-owned company, and staff are part owners of the business. It operates five locations across the Seattle metro area in Mill Creek, Lake City, Ballard, Columbia City, and Burien. SGA offers drop-in and single-enrollment activities for ages 0–11, and SGA members enrolled in weekly classes receive up to 50% off select Play programs, early access to Camp enrollment, and a discounted Camp rate. Coaches regularly track and update gymnast skill charts, and families have remote class viewing through a safe and secure partnership with WatchMeGrow.

One parent from Columbia City, Jack, states that the facility is clean and well maintained, the front desk staff are helpful and friendly, coaches and team coaches care about the kids, and kids are able to practice, learn and train in a safe environment. Another parent from Ballard, Jane, notes that teachers and staff are friendly, polite, professional and great with kids, and describes classes that start in a warm up area and then rotate through different skill areas such as beam and uneven bars, with a layout that supports this constant rotation and variety.
