Flying Horseshoe Ranch Summer Camp
Flying Horseshoe Ranch, 3190 Red Bridge Road, Cle Elum, WA 98922
About
Flying Horseshoe Ranch Summer Camp takes place at a historic homestead that began in 1904 as the Teanaway Valley Farm. The ranch is now open year around for Western Adventure and hosts groups such as families, school groups, youth groups, social groups, 4H clubs, and horsemanship clinics, as well as weddings and parties.
Flying Horseshoe Ranch has a long history, starting as a homestead that welcomed neighbors on horseback and travelers by stagecoach and wagon. The Blackburn Family, including George Sr. and Glory Blackburn, purchased the property in 1955. The ranch operated exclusively as a private independent children’s summer camp until 2002. It is described as an easy 90 minute drive from the Greater Seattle area on I-90, with directions that include taking exit 85 just past Cle Elum and continuing east on Highway 970, or using GPS to turn left on Red Bridge Road at approximately three miles.
