About

The SonBridge Youth Activities Program offers camps throughout the year that give youth a chance to learn new skills and gain new experiences. The camps are part of the SonBridge Education Center and are supported by the broader services and resources of SonBridge Center for Better Living. Youth participants meet other youth and take part in new experiences through this activities program.

• Ages: 11–14 years old

Founded in 2005, SonBridge Center for Better Living is a non-profit organization with a mission “To share the love of Christ Walla Valley.” SonBridge serves anyone who needs help without regard to race, gender, age, religious belief or affiliation and partners with other organizations to care for unmet needs in the community. The SonBridge vision is to build a community where God’s unconditional love is expressed through resources and services to revitalize the whole person.

SonBridge is devoted to providing support through dental care, life coaching and counseling, education, job skills training, and referrals to social services. Services are supported by sales from the SonBridge Thrift&Gift Store, volunteers, grants, and donations, and the store is a major source of income for SonBridge operations. In 2013, the SonBridge Dental Clinic opened to provide accessible and affordable dental care with dignity and respect.

In 2017, an additional 5,000 square feet were repurposed to create the SonBridge Education Center, which tripled SonBridge’s meeting space and expanded capacity for support and recovery groups, programs, classes, and activities. SonBridge youth recreation staff are dedicated to making recreation available and fun for the youth of the community. In 2023, Helpline@SonBridge expanded the family assistance program by continuing the Helpline legacy of screening, direct aid, and resource referrals for low-income, homeless, and those who need occasional extra help, including assistance for people struggling to stay warm and pay rent, parents needing clothing and shoes for their children, and seniors needing a listening ear and direction.
