Advantage Basketball Camps focuses on basketball skills such as ball-handling, dribbling, and shooting. Campers take part in shooting skills work and a mix of practice drills and friendly fun that emphasizes these core areas of the game.

Advantage Basketball Camps is a youth basketball training school for kids ages 6–18 that uses industry-leading basketball training techniques. The summer 2025 camps are open to boys and girls of all skill levels, from 6 to 18 years of age. The program’s techniques have been developed over more than 20 years to motivate kids to learn through repetition with fun, with a primary focus on ball handling and dribbling since the early 1990s. Armed with this building-block skill, students are then able to progress in their mastery of the game through additional drills and shooting instruction.

Formerly known as Baden Youth Sports Camps, Advantage Basketball Camps was founded in 1986 by Michael Hummel. The mission of Advantage Basketball Camps is to teach children using the most effective methods to help them be their best on the basketball court and beyond. Advantage Basketball Camps has one of the best coaching staffs in the country and one of the top coaching staffs in the country. The camps also prepare young players ages 6–18 for high school and college.

Advantage Basketball Camps has been chosen as the official basketball camp for the MSMN Elite Basketball Tournaments National Class, NCAA Certified. It has been chosen as the official basketball camp for the MSMN Elite Basketball Tounaments National Class, NCAA Certified www.hooptournaments.com. Advantage Basketball Camps serves as a basis for learning important life lessons like self-confidence and the value of self-discipline, along with instruction in ball handling and basketball shooting techniques. The program states that children will also learn about self-esteem, teamwork, the value of hard work, and good moral values, and that the sport is basketball but the most important element is the children’s future development. The organization describes the experience as intense, fun, and invigorating basketball training, with each year focused on enhancing camps so student campers have the time of their lives while learning and growing.
