About

Longacre Stables & School of Horsemanship offers basic and advanced instruction in dressage riding, as well as jumping and western riding instruction. The program provides lessons, training, sale horses, and boarding with certified instructors and school horses, using both indoor and outdoor arenas.

The stables are family owned and operated for 40 years. The program states that it specializes in dressage as a foundation for all riding disciplines, and Donna’s motto is “Dressage as a Foundation for ALL riding.” Donna G. Longacre, the owner and riding instructor, is a USDF Silver Medalist who has shown and ridden nationally through the FEI levels, holds a Riding Master Certificate and a Bachelor of Equestrian Science, and received a USET scholarship to study dressage in Europe. She has taught several college programs, is an Intermediate Centered Riding Instructor, and has more than 40 years of experience teaching, judging, and training. Donna currently travels to judge horse shows with licenses in Arabian, Dressage, Western, and Western Dressage, owns and operates a small boarding facility where she teaches dressage, jumping, western, and other disciplines, and is involved with Pony Club and the Interscholastic Equestrian Association. Assistant instructor Autumn Kushner has a Master’s in Equine Behavior and bachelor’s degrees in comparative psychology and integrated physics and physiology, has been teaching equestrians of all levels for over a decade, is a trail sports judge, a certified therapy animal trainer, and works part time with a team of international equine researchers.
