Columbia Basin Elite Volleyball Club offers development of volleyball fundamentals, competitive club volleyball, and an introduction to competitive club volleyball. Depending on team placement, players take part in scrimmages and tournaments, including single-day and multi-day events, with some teams traveling out of state for certain tournaments. Elite Academy teams, U-12, U-14 Navy, U-14 Red, U-14 White, U-15 Navy, U-16 Navy, U-16 Red, U-18, and a Boys team each have defined practice seasons, practice schedules, and tournament plans.
• Ages: 9–18 years old
• Schedule: Elite Academy practices January–March, two days per week (Tue/Thu 4–5:30 or Tue/Wed 5:30–7); Boys, U-12, U-14 Navy/Red/White, U-15 Navy, U-16 Navy/Red, and U-18 teams practice two days per week (one weekday and Sunday evening) from November or December through March, with some teams possibly continuing into April
• Price: $225–$1,100 for the season depending on team, plus required USAV/ERVA membership fees for most teams; many club fees can be split into three payments
Elite Academy is open to boys and girls ages 9–12, includes development of volleyball fundamentals, and will participate in 3 scrimmages, with a maximum of 9 participants per team and a total registration limit of 27 participants filled on a first-come, first-served basis; Elite Academy does not require tryouts, and players under age 10 can participate in this development program. The Boys team will participate in 3–4 tournaments or scrimmages in Washington during January, February, and March, with tournaments most likely on Sundays, and team selection will happen at this age level. The U-12 team has a maximum of 10 participants, will participate in 4–5 tournament playing days in Eastern Washington during January, February, and March, with tournaments most likely on Saturdays, and if a U-12 participant is not selected for a tournament team, they will be placed in the Elite Academy.
U-14 Navy, Red, and White teams each have a maximum of 10 players; U-14 Navy will participate in 6 tournaments in Washington during January, February, and March, including 2 multi-day tournaments and 1 tournament requiring out-of-state travel; U-14 Red will participate in 5 tournaments in Washington during January, February, and March; U-14 White is an introduction to competitive club volleyball and will participate in 5 tournaments in Washington during January, February, and March. U-15 Navy, U-16 Navy, U-16 Red, and U-18 teams have maximum rosters of 10–12 players, with team selection happening at the U-15 Navy, U-16 Navy, U-16 Red, and U-18 age levels. The club states that it was established to provide an opportunity for young athletes to develop solid individual skills, learn to compete at a high level, and grow as an athlete, with a goal of teaching life skills such as a team-first mentality, hard work, delayed gratification, and accountability through the vehicle of volleyball.
