Beginner Hockey

Beginner Hockey offers activities such as ice skating, learning the basic hockey stance, and practicing stride and knee bend. Participants will also learn the use of edges, how to hold a stick, puck play, and safe body contact.

• Ages: 4–10 years old
• Schedule: 8 sessions - 1x per week
• Price: $225 for Hockey 1, $270 for Hockey 2 and Late Start

The program is led by Marty Rubin, the Hockey Director, and Jerry Weir, the Beginner Director. SJHA's commitment to being a community-focused hockey association is epitomized by the Beginner Hockey program. The program has seen over a 25% increase in registrations from the last three years combined, emphasizing its focus on building community through a passion for hockey. SJHA is supported by the 220th Street Bingo.
