Pacific Courts Youth Basketball Programs offers basketball through group training classes, private training, camps and clinics, and the Sure Shot shooting program. The program also takes place in a facility that hosts pickleball, gym rental, party rental, and events/parties.
• Ages: 6–18 years old
• Schedule: Tree of Hope Girls Spring/Summer 2024 Tryouts take place Saturday, February 24th and Sunday, February 25th with separate one-hour sessions for 1st–5th grade girls, 6th–8th grade girls, and high school girls, plus a Last Chance Tryout on Monday, February 26th for all ages from 5:00pm–6:00pm.
• Price: $10 Try-Out Fee for Tree of Hope Girls Spring/Summer 2024 Tryouts; gym rental $50–$65 per hour depending on time of day and number of courts rented; Sure Shot program $20 per 1/2 hour.
Pacific Courts Youth Basketball Programs operates in a facility with official college and high-school sized basketball courts, a newly renovated weight-room, a state of the art sound system, a collegiate sized basketball court, a high school court, and a training cage. The Sure Shot shooting program is described as a state of the art shooting program, and the facility is described as providing a safe place to learn and play basketball.
The program’s mission is to empower youth through basketball, to become better leaders, decision makers, and productive team players on and off the basketball court. Youth Girls Basketball at Pacific Courts is now a part of the Northwest Blazers family, and Pacific Courts has been a part of Tree of Hope for the last six years. Pacific Courts opened on April 2nd, 2014.
The leadership team includes owner Cindi Oliver and Chief Operating Officer Kenan Oliver. Cindi Oliver’s background includes First Team All King-Co, two California State Championships, a Junior College National Championship, WAC conference starter at UTEP, and a Bachelor’s Degree in Communications. Kenan Oliver’s background includes being a McDonald’s All American Nominee in Alabama in 2000, First Team All Conference in 2001 at North East CC (MS), a Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration from the University of Central Missouri in 2005, and a pro basketball tenure in Kansas City, Germany, China, and Seattle from 2005–2011.
Northwest Blazers are described as “The Washington program with the most girls playing at the collegiate level.” In the last year alone, the Northwest Blazers have had 35 players commit to college programs, with 35 Blazers players from the 2024 class alone playing in college. A testimonial shared with the program is the quote, “I’ve got a theory that if you give 100 percent all of the time, somehow things will work out in the end.” – Larry Bird.
