About the provider

Since 1947, Waskowitz Outdoor School has welcomed classes from throughout the Puget Sound region. Highline Superintendent Carl Jensen established Waskowitz in 1947 as a national leader in outdoor education. The leadership team includes Meredith von Trapp, Director, and Jennifer Hirayama, Office Manager. The mission is to foster meaningful connections between people and the natural world.

The site states that students of all ages build lasting connections. It also says every student deserves access to meaningful outdoor learning experiences and that Waskowitz actively seeks to identify and remove barriers that may prevent students from fully participating.
