Othello Little League offers tee ball, baseball, and softball. Games are played between two teams, each with 9 players on a field with four bases laid out in the shape of a diamond. The program includes chances for players to learn new athletic skills and create a bond with new friends.
• Ages: 4–12 years old
• Schedule: Season tentatively starts with an Opening Day Parade on May 4th and is anticipated to end in mid-June; game days are determined by age division, with a 5 PM start time
This is the only season the City of Othello offers. The program is led by Parks & Recreation Coordinator Valerie Hernandez and Park & Recreation Assistant Elena Mendoza. Other roles connected to the program include volunteer coaching and paid umpires. Coaches are required to complete a free abuse awareness training course for the 2025 season of Little League. Children living outside of the Othello Little League map boundaries do not qualify to be drafted for the year-end All-Star team and are only allowed to participate in regular-season games, and those families are instructed to select “HOME” as the method of address verification and accept the privacy policy and terms and conditions during registration.
