About the provider

Ruffhouse is a family-owned, Renton-based martial arts school founded by Professor Arthur in 1999. The About page says Ruffhouse Jiu Jitsu has expanded across the United States, with affiliates in Columbus, Ohio, San Francisco, California, and the Seattle area. The school says each student becomes a valued part of the community, and advanced students help by assisting younger and newer students.

The school says it is for all levels of experience and all fitness levels. It says no one is too old for jiu jitsu. Beginner adults must attend the Beginner class for 6 weeks before jumping into the rest of classes. Open mats are available to any adult student and a few approved teen students. The gym says you do not have to roll with anyone you don’t want to.
